Ming River Baijiu & Murray's Cheese Pairing Class
Come to Murray’s for a truly one-of-a-kind baijiu spirits and cheese pairing class! Baijiu, pronounced bye-j’yo, meaning ‘white spirits’ in Mandarin, is a category that encompasses all traditional Chinese grain spirits. Production techniques differ significantly by region and style, and different styles of baijiu can be as distinct as whiskey is to tequila. Baijiu and Western spirits are fundamentally different alcohols with respect to their production, ingredients, and taste. The unique aromas and flavors of baijiu ranging from light hints of vanilla to tropical fruits to bold earthy umami will most likely make for an extraordinary cheese pairing experience! The class will feature cheese pairings with four major baijiu styles (Rice, Light, Strong, Sauce) and a special Ming River Sichuan baijiu cocktail.
